This fake string of onions is perfect for dressing as a characature of a Frenchman - just add beret, bagette and bicycle.

These onions won't smell however as they are made by forming rafia around polystyrene onion shapes. The effect is convincing without any of the pongy drawbacks.

All you need now is a baguette (try a supermarket), a bike (try Halford's) a stripy shirt and a beret.
